Reunited for Another Day

You recognize the faces, they are the club stalwarts at your Junior Rugby League Club.  
Starting out as young children with the dreams of playing for the Mighty Sharkies.

These men would go on to play hundreds of games for their respective clubs, play up a grade when needed, win competitions, make mates for life and become club legends.

As they got older, they would give back to their clubs by becoming a coach,volunteer or sponsor.

So many of them now have children playing at those same clubs, the same bloodline that Carries so much loyalty.

Fast forward twenty years and a lot of these men are now part of each other’s lives.
Some work together, live in the same suburb or have kids that go to the same school, their lives now intertwined.

But rather than taking on each other on the footy field, they are now taking on a much tougher opponent, together, Men’s Mental Health and the Stigma that goes with it.        
The battle is no longer played on the footy field, but in our minds.  

These men are no longer rivals, but mates committed to making sure we can all get through to ‘Another Day’, for our Families, Friends and more importantly ourselves.  

Australia lost over 2500 men to suicide in 2022 and that number, tragically continues to rise.  
This is where the Walk Another Day group is passionate to make an impact.                                                  

Based and started in the Sutherland Shire (2022,) WAD’ is a Men’s Mental and Physical group that looks to reconnect men regularly through their Monthly Walks or Special Events such as gym, boxing and ice bath sessions,breathwork seminars or our Annual Retreat down to Huskisson.
We Also look to provide a positive framework where men can feel they are being heard and supported.
